Position Overview

Valiant Residential is seeking a Real Estate Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen in multifamily underwriting and a solid understanding of real estate markets. This role involves conducting thorough financial analysis, forecasting, and underwriting to support our clients and potential clients' investment strategies. The Senior Real Estate Analyst will play a crucial role in evaluating potential investment opportunities on behalf of our clients and preparing proposals for potential new clients.

What You'll Be Doing

• Detailed underwrite/modeling one year and multi-year pro-forma's.
• Train and mentor financial analysts.
• Review underwriting in presentations and proposals with clients (in-person or online). 
• Join business development on client calls or presentations to discuss potential new assets or clients. 
• Create new multifamily asset 12-month detailed operating budgets. 
• Review existing asset service contracts. 
• Conducts market research and analyzes market data including market occupancy, rental rates, demographics, competitor positioning and economic information. 
• Create and update proposals and presentations that are presented to prospective clients. 
• Interface with multifamily real estate brokers for scheduling property tours with/for clients and requesting updated financial reports during underwriting. 
• Assists with ad-hoc/special projects as needed. 
• Recommend processes to improve company efficiency. 
• Responsible for day-to-day communications with the Supervisor and ensuring all reporting and tasks are completed on time. 

Requirements

• 3+ year's experience in real estate analysis and modeling 
• Strong Understanding of multifamily underwriting. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – strong proficiency in Excel
• Strong analytical skills & ability to grasp new concepts quickly
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
• Multifamily real estate analysis: 3 years (Preferred) 
• Using excel models: 3 years (Required) 
• Bachelor’s Degree required - Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
