About the Role

Description

The Gunsmith is accountable for the seamless execution of all Shooters World Gunsmith department processes and policies and overseeing the routine maintenance of all Range firearms, with special emphasis on the Machine Gun assortment. A Lead Gunsmith must demonstrate proven and sound knowledge of the Gunsmithing craft.


Responsibilities

• Fabricate and Maintain Machine Guns

• Perform the routine and exceptional maintenance of all Range firearms

• Ensure consistent and quality work product in a timely manner across the entire department

• Effectively diagnosis and repair issues with customer and store firearms in a timely manner

• Serve as a Consultant to Customers on aftermarket additions/custom work that the Gunsmithing Department can perform

• Teach/Instruct Customer and Employee education Classes on Gunsmithing Department related courses (ex. Firearm Cleaning)

• Film/Compile reliable video tools for the maintenance of firearms related to the scope of work of the Range associates and the Gunsmithing Department

• Formulate and execute the scheduling of the Gun Technicians within the set parameters of management

• Maintain an exceptionally clean and well-organized Gunsmithing Room

• Answer e-mail, and voicemail inquiries regarding services

• Safely handle all firearms when checking into or out of gunsmithing as well as test firing

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

• Certified Gunsmith Certificate from an Accredited Gunsmithing School

• Demonstrated through knowledge of and experience with Class III Firearm Fabrication, Class III Firearm Malfunction Diagnostics and Class III Firearm Maintenance/Repair with a heavy emphasis on Machine Guns

• Sound experience with and knowledge of craft skills such as Welding, Metalworking, Woodworking, and Parts Fabrication

• Minimum 1 year of prior retail gunsmithing experience preferred; will consider recent graduates from accredited Gunsmithing School

• Sound knowledge of function and maintenance of various firearm platforms

• Functional Proficiency with ATF Compliance and Paperwork

• Organized, Proactive, and a Self-Starter

• Optic Mounting and Zeroing

• Muzzle Device Mounting and Removal

• Customer satisfaction orientation

• Must pass drug test, background check and any criminal background check
