This is a full-time on-site position located in Toppenish, WA. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, 7 paid holidays (after 90 days of service), and generous PTO accruals from day one!


Requirements

 Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to): 

  • Evaluate, audit, maintain, and monitor all site programs, procedures, practices, and policies that ensure safe practices, SQF (Safe Quality Food) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards;
  • Train production employees on SQF, Quality, Compliance, and GMP standards;
  • Ensure accurate record keeping related to local, state, federal, and SQF requirements;
  • Manage Red Tag (Hold and Release) Program;
  • Manage Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans, Sanitation, and Chemical Control Programs
  • Cross-train and collaborate with Woodland SQF Practitioner to ensure consistency between the plants
  • Oversight of food safety validation and verification for the site's Product Development and Realization Program;
  • Job Approval and quality checks during production, as required by SOP and customer requirements;

Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively;
  • Ability to effectively manage, motivate, and train employees;
  • Proficient math skills;
  • Able to detect minute visual differences (color, etc.);
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to be detail orientated;
  • Understand and use basic office equipment and programs;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures.

Location: 

  • Toppenish Facility

Work Environment: 

  • Warehouse environment. Minimal temperature control. Office environment.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, twist;
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
  • Gross and fine motor skills;
  • Be exposed to changes in temperature;
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel as needed


Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.; Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred
  • HACCP trained and certified;
  • 2-5 years of experience in quality and safe food production or related field;
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • SQF Certification preferred.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams preferred.
