St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, in Laconia, NH, is a 51-bed skilled nursing facility offering short and long-term care in a warm, supportive atmosphere where residents are cared for according to their individual needs. St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is hiring for a Cook to work per diem. 


Per Diem Requirements; 

  • Per Diem employees must accept and work at least two (2) shifts per month, one (1) of which being a weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday)


Cook Job Responsibilities:

  • Menu Review: Review menus prior to food preparation.
  • Diet Adjustments: Process diet changes and new diets as received from the nursing supervisor when necessary.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve meals that are both palatable and visually appealing.
  • Compliance: Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations and our established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED preferred, or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position 
  • Must have knowledge of sanitary procedures
  • Working every other weekend is a requirement
  • Prior food service experience is required; 
  • ServSafe Certification is preferred.
