Primary Responsibilities:
Arranging and coordinating the events and appointments necessary to convert a new patient into active, or pre-treatment, status. The goal of the Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator is to listen to the patients’ needs and expectations and use his/her verbal skills to create and nurture an ongoing relationship to build trust and confidence.
Job Duties:
- Fully comprehend our product, services, offers, and key differentiators.
- Effectively connect our perspective patients’ perceptions of value to affordability.
- Present treatment plans, discuss agreeable finance options and execute financial contracts.
- Explain and understand the importance of early orthodontic evaluations and the different types of treatment stages.
- Overcome objections by listening, observing, asking questions, and directing the conversation.
- Maintain customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Proactively work referrals and other warm leads to keep a full appointment schedule.
- Review sales performance and work to always better utilize time and improve sales.
- Keep supervisor informed of competitor offers, market trends, opportunities, etc.
- Follow-up with patients that failed to start treatment or have pending treatment.
- Call and confirm all New Patient appointments and collect all information needed prior to appointment.
Requirements
- Must be able to remain stationary 50% pf the time
- May occasionally-frequently move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboards, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Hearing: Communicates with patients, responsible parties, doctors, and other staff members regarding inquiries about their financials, scheduling and treatment. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these solutions in person, on the phone, through text and through email.
- Exposure to moderate-loud noise levels and fast-paced, high anxiety environments.
- Occasionally may be required to lift up to 30 pounds to a height of 3 feet.
