About the Role

Description

SHINE Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer who will have ownership in all phases of electrical design, coordination with other internal engineering groups (I&C, Process, Nuclear, Structural, etc.), procurement of equipment, commissioning, and start-up. Based on experience level of the candidate, this role could be hired as a senior level role.


The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$150,000 annually plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities include of the Electrical Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and test plans to support the design, new construction, testing, commissioning, in-field troubleshooting and operation of the medical isotope production facility.
  • Work with Procurement organization to procure equipment
  • Monitor and provide guidance to contract engineers and engineers of record for the normal electric power supply system
  • Provide support to Construction by processing requests for information, engineering change requests, work packages, and reviewing document submittals
  • Work with electrical inspectors (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) to assure compliance of SHINE electrical systems


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • 5+ years experience in designing low voltage power engineering duties
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code, Life Safety Code, Building Codes, IEEE standards, and IEC standards
  • Experience with conduits, cable trays, cable selection, terminal/connection drawings, panels, and panel design

The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience in electrical design meeting NRC regulatory requirements
  • Professional engineering license with the ability to obtain a Wisconsin professional engineering license
  • Profeciency in Electrical Design tools such as AutoCad Electrical or Solidworks electrical
  • Familiarity with SCADA or PLC systems preferably Allen-Bradley
  • Greenfield Experience – from design through construction and startup

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
