Pay Range: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour


Job Type: Full Time, Non-exempt


Shift and Schedule:  Sunday through Thursday (9:30AM - 6:00PM)


Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Prior cook experience; RCFE or hotel experience is preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

What are the Qualifications?

  • Must undergo a Physical exam and Tuberculosis Screening, resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment
  • Must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Follow the meal plan designed by Food Service Management, preparing a diverse range of meals that adhere to resident dietary requirements and preferences. Ensure all dishes meet quality and taste standards while conforming to kosher guidelines
  • Assist in managing food inventory by ensuring proper storage of items. All foods must be covered, labeled, and dated appropriately
  • Clean and sanitize all work areas and equipment throughout the shift. Collaborate with dishwashers to ensure that all kitchen and dining items are sanitized and ready for the next service
  • Ability to use a knife and other cooking equipment, understanding temperature and cooking time
  • Work closely with Servers and other Dining staff to communicate special requests or dietary restrictions
