Job Description
The Business Operations Specialist partners with the Business Operations Manager to provide operational support across the Operational Delivery business unit. This role maintains and enhances our reporting frameworks while proactively identifying opportunities to improve clarity, efficiency and decision-making for our leadership team.
Working closely with the Operational Delivery Leadership Team, you'll monitor and report on key metrics including resourcing, budgets, performance and engagement. You'll embed best practices, streamline workflows, and develop tools that enhance accountability and operational excellence.
This role offers genuine growth potential. We're looking for someone who can initially take ownership of day-to-day reporting, then evolve the role by proactively engaging with leaders to understand their needs and build new capabilities. Based in either our Melbourne or Sydney CBD office, you'll enjoy our hybrid working model while partnering closely with leaders across both locations.
Typically, in this role you will:
- Monitor and report on operational metrics including resourcing, budgets, performance and engagement, maintaining weekly and monthly reporting frameworks
- Identify and solve gaps in operational reporting and insights, developing solutions using Excel and Power BI
- Partner with the Business Operations Manager to embed best practices, streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
- Support the Leadership Team proactively on portfolio deliverables and business initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure reporting delivers actionable insights that support decision-making
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Advanced Excel skills for developing reporting solutions (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Strong analytical mindset with experience creating data-driven solutions and reporting frameworks
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders across diverse teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with initiative
- Power BI experience highly desirable; business operations or coordination experience valued but not essential
