Description

Rate: $15.50 hourly

Status: Seasonal

  • Must be at least 16 years old. 
  • If applying for Winter Camp, must be available to work for all these dates  December 22nd, 23rd, 26th, 29th, 30th, & January 2nd
  • If applying to work Summer Camp 2026, minimum of 30 hours per week and must work entirety of June-August.
  • Provide instruction and demonstrate a variety of athletic, educational, and creative skills to youth participants.
  • Supervise campers at all times to ensure safety and adherence to camp policies and procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with the Camp Director and other staff members regarding camper behavior, needs, and any concerns.
  • Coordinate the daily and long-term activities for campers, making sure goals fit with overall camp themed plans.
  • Maintain all the necessary paperwork for the efficient management of their group.
  • Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behavior, respect, and teamwork.
  • Assist with camper check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a smooth and safe transition for all children.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout the camp site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Camp Director or Assistant Camp Director.
  • This is a safety sensitive position
  • NOTES: All hours and schedules may be subject to change based on City and/or department needs

Requirements

  • Ability to think creatively and adapt to varying situations.
  • Previous experience working with children preferred.
  • High energy, positive attitude, and a cooperative team player.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all campers.
  • This is an outdoor job so needs to be able to work outdoors in various weather.
  • MUST PASS POLICE RECORD CHECK.
