Are you ready to join an energetic passionate team as we partner with our donors to provide healing & hope to Idaho’s most vulnerable kids? As a Development Assistant you are a crucial member of our development and marketing team. Are you detailed oriented leader with exceptional communication skills? The Idaho Youth Ranch Development & Marketing team is seeking an amazing new teammate to join us. We are looking for someone with a passion for kids, an eye for detail, a commitment to relationship building, and a willingness to jump in and get the job done. 


As our Development Assistant some of the many things you will do include (see the job description for more):

  • Be the hub for our team, keeping us organized, working together and on track.
  • Create a best-in-class donor experience through donation follow-up including prompt thank you letters & receipts, thank you notes and new donor welcome packets.
  • Build strong relationships with existing donors & prospective donors, responding to their requests efficiently and updating them about how their support is making a huge impact on kids’ lives. 
  • Be the face and voice of the Development Dept; greeting guests, routing calls and maintaining crucial and confidential donor data(using Salesforce)

Must Haves:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Heightened proficiency in spelling and grammar.
  • Excellent record keeping and associated software skills (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and database programs
  • Must respect confidentiality of donors and other sensitive information relevant to the Department of Development
  • Comply with fundraising ethical standards 

Preferred:

  • 3 to 5 years experience in providing administrative support, preferably in support of fund-raising activities
  • Associates or Bachelor degree. 


As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program. The PLSF offers student loan forgiveness on qualifying loans under specific conditions. Speak with your loan provider for more information.


This position is located in Idaho and candidates must be within a reasonable distance to our location
