Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying finishes to various surfaces including walls, ceilings, equipment, and structures. The ideal candidate will have experience with different painting techniques and tools, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

- Able to repair damaged sheetrock or wall surface, smooth finish work required

- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, and applying primer.

- Mix and match paints to achieve desired color and consistency.

- Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.

- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect adjacent areas.

- Inspect painted surfaces for uniformity and smoothness, and make touch-ups as needed.

- Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working condition.

- Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear to minimize exposure to fumes and chemicals.

- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.

- Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proven experience as a painter in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

- Familiarity with painting materials and techniques.

- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
