California Faucets is looking to bring on a 2nd Shift Production Expeditor. This role is based on site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 2:15PM to 11:00PM.


Job Description/Essential Duties:


The Production Expeditor is responsible for interacting with the customer service and operations team members to ensure high priority orders move through production quickly. In this role, the Production Expeditor will: 

  • Communicate effectively as a liaison between operations and customer service teams on manufacturing and supply chain issues pertaining to the production schedule. 
  • Expedite orders to provide on-time delivery to meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.
  • Physically find and identify products in process and ensure these products proceed through the factory to meet customer commitments. 
  • Ensure expedited orders meet their committed ship date.
  • Interact routinely with the management team to assess current material needs and to address any problems.
  • Investigate and solve causes of production delays by utilizing the ERP application and communicating with cross-functional teams.
  • Picking parts for work orders, ensuring the correct number and type of parts is obtained.
  • Carrying or transporting work orders to different staging areas.
  • Accurately completing inventory transactions in an ERP system.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn, understand, and navigate an ERP application efficiently.

Environmental and Safety Considerations:

  • Possible exposure to heat, cold, dust, and moderate noise when working indoors.
  • May be required to work with hand tools.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.  

                    

People Interface:

The position requires contact with people in many departments, including production, supply chain, customer service, and PVD Coatings.


Decision Making:

The position requires working from detailed instructions as well as the use of judgment to plan and perform general decisions to solve a problem or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation.

Supervision Received:

Under general supervision, assignments are both task-oriented and objective-oriented. Follows established procedures for routine work; receives specific instruction on non-routine problems.

Accountabilities:

After adequate training, the position requires a level of accountability to complete a pre-determined amount of work or units completed per shift.

Education and Experience:

The minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate. Someone entering this position should have at least six (6) months experience performing similar work in a related field.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and use hands to finger. The employee is frequently required to stand extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms below and above shoulder; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist or crawl. The employee will be required to lift/carry 1-25 pounds routinely.
