This is an on-site position. Moeller Precision Tool is centrally located within the Metro Detroit area, offering a 45-minute commute from Ann Arbor or Troy, Michigan. You'll have access to various local restaurants for lunch, easy I-96 access, and nearby apartment options.

Job Summary:
Moeller Precision Tool is seeking a Process Engineer who is ready to grow into the role and help optimize production processes for world-class tooling. This position is perfect for individuals with a strong machining background—whether you have no prior process engineering experience or just a little—and want to take the next step into engineering.
If you’re an experienced machinist or shop floor professional who understands how things are made and wants to influence how they’re improved, this is your opportunity. Candidates with CNC programming or CAD experience will have a strong advantage, but it’s not required—we’ll help you develop those skills.

Note: This is not a senior engineering role. If you have a master’s degree in engineering or extensive experience as a manufacturing engineer, this position may not be the right fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop work instructions to optimize fabrication of Build to Print precision components
- Generates bill of materials and develops process flows to meet customer specifications
- Interacts with Engineering Manager, Plant Management, and the Quality Manager for job related functions
- Aids plant for technical issues related to processes and customer specifics
Requirements (Must-Haves):
- 3–5 years of machinist experience in a job shop or production environment.
- Solid understanding of CNC/manual machining (mills, lathes, grinders).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and machining instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
- Experience with CAD Software such as Kubotek, CATIA, or Unigraphics
- Experience with Epicor ERP or similar manufacturing systems.
- Experience with CNC Programming using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
