Job Summary: Coordinates and administers the Center’s Standards of Conduct System in compliance with all DOL, corporate and Center policies and regulations. Responsible for the administration of the Student Incentive and Discipline Systems. Supervises the Student Personnel Assistant.
Duties:
- Assists the Center in meeting the goals and objectives of the center.
- Prepares all statistical data necessary in compiling monthly reports and other reports concerning disciplinary activities needed by the Center.
- Emphasize student accountability through training and proper coordination to ensure that students are properly addressed for unexcused class absentees by their counselor, resident advisor, and assigned instructor(s) daily by providing special focus groups for those students who have developed patterns of missing class, an effective system for student accountability in the dormitories, etc.
- Ensures that proper recording/documentation; closure of all disciplinary systems occur, and that proper Job Corps policies and guidelines are followed.
- Ensures that staff receives written feedback on incidents of students’ behavior including disciplinary reports, serious incident reports, and restriction lists on a weekly basis.
- Ensures the proper functioning of the Student Behavior Management Council (Peer Review) to include training of board members, assists in the supervision of elections, function of hearings, and ensure that students and staff, in peer review hearings, are following proper guidelines.
- Maintains active involvement and coordination with Case Management Teams in the evaluation of student progress and performance as needed.
- Establish and maintain dorm and education courts to establish an environment that will encourage students’ participation in the operation of the center and provide encouragement for positive behavior.
- Provides behavior management training to all staff at least annually and within 30 days for new hires.
- Ensures the behavior management plan is updated and aligned with the CDSS at all levels/phases.
- Provides special programs to recognize the positive influence/change in behavior.
- Works toward meeting performance management goals.
- Continual support and adherence to the CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system.
- Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
- Models, mentors, monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.
- Supervises the Student Personnel Assistant conducts required personnel assessments.
- Responsible and accountable for overall Center Outcome Measurement performance goals and Quarterly Student Safety/Satisfaction Survey, and other measurable performance indicators.
- Models and supports career development goals, the Zero Tolerance Policy, appropriate social and employability behavior and intervention techniques, and student placement efforts.

Requirements

Experience: Three years’ experience working with youth in counseling or related field preferred.
Education: Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid State Driver’s License
