It is designed for someone who not only understands how to win business but, crucially, how to translate ambiguous executive-level advisory conversations into structured, commercially viable, and operationally achievable engagements.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have a deep background in consulting, possess exceptional client relationship skills, and be an expert in translating high-level business needs into actionable, structured product delivery roadmaps.</p> <p>This is a chance to flex your entrepreneurial muscle and help create a future-focused consulting firm that seamlessly blends technology and human intelligence.</p> <p>A significant focus of this role will be a deep partnership with our Director of Product Labs which focuses on rapid experimentation, emerging technologies, and AI/Generative AI development. You will be responsible for defining the commercial strategy and creating the market pathways for these nascent, high-growth services. This requires a rare blend of commercial acumen and intellectual curiosity to monetize innovation and bring cutting-edge solutions from the lab environment into successful client engagements.</p> <p>You will sit horizontally across the business, ensuring our advisory work seamlessly transitions into commercially viable and deliverable projects, directly impacting our growth and client success.</p> <h3><strong>Commercial Strategy &amp; Scoping</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Executive Translation:</strong> Act as the "middleware" layer, taking executive-level advisory conversations and articulating the required scope, resources, and delivery approach for our Product Lab and Studio teams..</li> <li><strong>Commercial Viability:</strong> Own the commercial structuring and negotiation of new engagements, ensuring a balance of client value, profitability, and deliverability.</li> <li><strong>Risk Mitigation:</strong> Proactively identify and assess commercial, technical, and delivery risks during the scoping phase, developing mitigation strategies.</li> <li><strong>Proposal Development:</strong> Lead the development of compelling proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and contracts that clearly define project objectives, scope, dependencies, and success metrics.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Product Labs Partnership &amp; AI Commercialisation</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Commercial Bridge:</strong> Serve as the primary commercial partner to the Director of Product Labs, identifying market opportunities for experiments, pilots, and internal IP developed within the Labs.</li> <li><strong>AI-to-Market Strategy:</strong> Develop and execute the commercial strategy for bringing AI, GenAI, and other emerging technology solutions from the Labs into client engagements and core product offerings.</li> <li><strong>Venture/Growth Scoping:</strong> Scope engagements that require a high degree of ambiguity, focusing on early-stage innovation, rapid experimentation, and the potential for long-term venture-style partnerships.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Operational &amp; Delivery Alignment&nbsp;</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Cross-Functional Liaison:</strong> Act as the primary liaison between the executive/client-facing commercial function and the internal delivery/technical teams..</li> <li><strong>Resource Allocation Input:</strong> Provide critical commercial context and forecasting to Delivery and Finance teams to inform resource planning, hiring needs, and operational investments.</li> <li><strong>Delivery Handover &amp; Governance:</strong> Ensure a smooth and successful handover of newly won engagements to our delivery teams, maintaining commercial oversight and supporting governance reviews throughout the project lifecycle.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You are not a transactional salesperson, but a strategic commercial leader who has hands-on experience in the mechanics of a digital consultancy. You are highly skilled in navigating complex organisational landscapes, building trusted executive relationships, and structuring multi-year growth opportunities. Your success will be measured by both top-line revenue growth and the successful integration of our innovative practices into our core commercial offerings.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Consulting Expertise:</strong> A minimum of 8+ years of experience in a commercial, client-facing, or senior delivery role within a Product, Digital, or Technology Consulting environment is non-negotiable.</li> <li><strong>Domain Knowledge:</strong> Deep understanding of the full digital product lifecycle, including strategy, UX/UI design, engineering, and agile delivery methodologies.</li> <li><strong>Middleware Capability:</strong> Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between abstract executive strategy (the "what" and "why") and concrete project delivery (the "how" and "when").</li> <li><strong>Executive Communication:</strong> Exceptional ability to communicate, negotiate, and influence at the C-level, translating complex technical and product concepts into clear business terms.</li> <li><strong>Commercial Acumen:</strong> Proven track record in structuring, pricing, and closing multi-phased consulting engagements (e.g., retainer, fixed-price, time &amp; materials).</li> <li><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Experience in working successfully with technical and creative Directors/VPs (e.g., Director of Product, CTO, Head of Design).</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2>The Consultant We Value</h2> <p>We value talent who put our clients first—always—with humility, sharp intellect, and unwavering integrity.
