Get to Know the Team

The Merchant Acquisition team is responsible for sourcing and onboarding merchants onto GrabFood and maintaining a competitive selection for the platform. Our aim is to help as many merchants as possible realize the values of partnering with GrabFood and to ensure our users can find all their favorite stores for food delivery. As the Associate, Merchant Acquisition, you will be pivotal to achieving this mission. You will lead, motivate, and manage a team of Field Sales representatives dedicated to rapidly and strategically growing the GrabFood merchant base.

As the Associate, Mex Acquisition , you will be pivotal to achieving this mission. You will lead, motivate, and manage a team of Field Sales representatives dedicated to rapidly and strategically growing the GrabFood merchant base. The successful candidate will transition from an individual contributor focus to driving team performance, ensuring excellent execution of acquisition strategies, and successfully launching new initiatives across your territory. You will work onsite at Grab office, CMC Creative Space and report to the Functional Manager.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Oversee the team's sourcing, onboarding, and relationship management activities to ensure consistent expansion of a competitive and quality merchant selection within the assigned area.
  • Cross functional collaboration with sales & operational teams to achieve GrabFood key business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of all products and services GrabFood offers.
  • Managing a portfolio of SMB partners on the GrabFood platform; building relationships and supporting them in day-to-day issues.
  • Take ownership of the team's performance across critical business metrics: MFP/MFC, GMS, MSS
  • Serve as the team's subject matter expert and driver for new strategic business lines, specifically leading the team's efforts in the implementation and scaling of the GrabFood Dineout feature with new and existing merchants.
  • Perform performance reporting to track team efficiency and provide clear insights to upper management.
  • The must haves:
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a sales team to consistently meet or exceed aggressive targets.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills in both Vietnamese and English.
    • Strong integrity and understanding of professionalism and code of conduct.
    • Able to work with multi-functional teams.
    • Able to multi-task and result oriented.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commercial, or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory, team leader, or senior sales role, preferably within e-commerce, F&B, or a high-growth environment.
  • Having the insights, experience, and passion in e-commerce, fintech and F&B
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; well-developed communication and presentation skills
  • Visionary, self-motivated, and laser-focused on exceeding set goals
  • Hunger to learn, autonomous and adaptable attitude to cope with a fast-paced working environment
