Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician cum Driver to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
This role will be based in Tuas Loop
Responsibilities
- Perform varies of construction testing onsite such as concrete, soil, structural fixings and etc.
- Perform test as directed by customer specification / Engineer’s instruction
- Operate testing independently and /or under supervision of senior test technician
- Gather and record test data and able to communicates properly with client onsite.
- Prepare and compile reports/worksheets as per supervisor’s instruction.
- Drive company vehicle for sample collection
Skills / Qualifications
- Working knowledge of laboratory & site safety.
- Diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
- 0-2 years’ experience in a testing related field
- Possess class 3 driving licence
- Basic understanding of testing concepts
- Possess computer skills and ability to apply basic algebra and geometry
Physical demand:
- Physically fit and able to work in construction sites, work at height, possible under direct sunlight.
- Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
- Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
