Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the protection, confidentiality, and integrity of the organization’s network infrastructure and communication systems. This role involves implementing advanced security measures, monitoring threats, and responding to incidents to maintain a secure and reliable technological environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Infrastructure Protection:

  • Implement and manage firewalls, network segmentation (VLANs), and secure protocols (TLS, IPSec).

  • Monitor network traffic to prevent unauthorized access.

• Data Confidentiality and Integrity:

  • Apply encryption to data in transit.

  • Prevent interception attacks and ensure communications remain unaltered.

• Authentication and Access Control:

  • Enforce strong authentication (MFA) for authorized users.

  • Define and implement identity and access management policies.

• Incident Monitoring and Response:

  • Utilize tools to detect anomalous traffic, DDoS attacks, and protocol exploitation.

  • Coordinate rapid response to security incidents.

• Protection Against Social Engineering and Phishing:

  • Implement user training programs.

  • Configure systems to block fraudulent communications.

• Technical Support and Advisory:

  • Provide consultancy and guidance to users and technical teams.

  • Assist in maintaining network, virtualization, and server infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or equivalent in Communications.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in user advisory/consulting and technical support.

  • Advanced knowledge in networking: routing, switching, VLANs, MAC, port security, stacking.

  • Advanced knowledge in operating systems and virtualization.

  • Experience with data services: Internet access, VPN, SD-WAN, WiFi networks.

  • Security experience: Firewalls (Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower), configuring rules, interfaces, and traffic analysis.

  • Familiarity with CISCO Call Manager, Windows Server, VMware, Veeam, Wasabi.

• Certifications (preferred): CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Dell (servers/storage).

• Languages: English proficiency. Spanish will be a plus

• Work Location: Hybrid at client office in Malaga
