DSI operations are in strict accordance with specific FAA/National Weather Service (NWS) orders, notices, and airport directives. Additionally, DSI air traffic management staff have decades of air traffic and airspace management experience. They specialize in the development and review of procedural guidance, airspace design, special use airspace requirements, Class B/C airspace revisions, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) integration, and special traffic rule requirements.
About the Role

LOCATION IS MARSHALL ISLANDS - KWAJALEIN AND ROI-NAMUR (Not Chesapeake, VA) - Tax Incentive Location

ELECTRONICS TECH II Communications Marshall Islands  


Duties:

The Electronics Technician II must meet the qualification requirements and have at least three (3) years’ experience:

  • Maintaining communications and navigation systems
  • Repair, adjust and align CM300 radio, Interim Voice Switch Replacement (IVSR), National Airspace Voice Recorder (NVR) systems to pass certification and periodic flight checks.
  • Using specialized test equipment and software-controlled diagnostics to isolate malfunctions
  • Repairing of mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Tuning, aligning, and adjusting equipment
  • Inspecting equipment at specified intervals determining operational status
  • Perform operational checks
  • Maintaining inspection and maintenance records
  • Operation of advance test equipment and test sets for the associated CNS equipment
  • Provide mentorship and supervise Electronics Technicians l

Requirements

 

Education:

High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A/C military school in electronics for communications and navigation systems, or three (3) year electronics apprentice program with experience with the listed system types.

Basic Qualifications:

  • US citizen (selected applicant will be subject to a government security background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements).
  • This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.
  • Must be a graduate of a high school or a trade school & possess valid US driver’s license with photo.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of “hands on” work experience in support of installations, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment that may involve training and assisting lower-level technicians. Must have the technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of electronic systems or Electronic Equipment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing preventive maintenance on ground radio communications systems and related equipment, inspecting equipment at specified intervals determining operational status, replacing defective components, performing operational checks, and maintaining inspection and maintenance records.


Salary Range: $110K (+/-) Yearly Salary (tax free incentives)
