Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on events leader with a passion for creating experiences that elevate the company’s brand, deepen client relationships, and equip advisors to host meaningful engagements. The Manager, Events & Experiences will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing and plays a critical role in shaping Blue Trust’s enterprise event and experiential marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience in event strategy, logistics management, and audience engagement, with the ability to manage cross functional teams and vendor partners to deliver high quality experiences at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Events & Sponsorships: Leads enterprise events-including annual client gatherings, partnership activations, and tailored experiences for priority segments. Partners with executive leadership to set event objectives and oversees budgets, vendors, logistics, and post event evaluation processes to drive measurable business outcomes.
- Internal Experiences: Develops internal firm-wide experiences that strengthen culture and alignment. Partners with senior leaders to ensure internal experiences reflect the company’s mission, values, and priorities.
- Advisor and Branch-Level Experiences: Creates scalable event tools and templates that help advisors deliver local experiences aligned with national campaigns. Trains and consults with advisors and branch teams to ensure high-impact events are well executed and support lead generation goals.
- Experiential Marketing & Storytelling: Creates experiences that bring the brand and mission to life. Integrates events into omni-channel campaigns and uses them to enhance engagement and thought leadership.
- Partnership & Vendor Management: Oversees relationships with vendors, production teams, venues, and sponsorship partners. Negotiates contracts and ensures high-quality, on-brand delivery.
- Collaboration & Alignment: Collaborate with marketing, executive leadership, and advisory teams to ensure events reflect Blue Trust’s brand and the Company’s Core Values. Approaches work, interactions and relationships in a manner consistent with the Company’s Core Values.
Requirements
- Event Strategy & Planning Expertise: 8 + years’ experience in event strategy, planning, and execution, with demonstrated excellence in strategic event planning, project management, and experiential design. Experience developing and managing event budgets, contracts, and vendors required. Prior experience in financial services or mission-driven organization preferred.
- Project & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and composure under pressure. Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale conferences and intimate client/advisor experiences.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills. High attention to detail and proven ability to deliver polished, on-brand experiences.
- Problem Solving & Adaptability: Flexible, ability to identify and resolve problems quickly. Adept at balancing creative vision with operational execution.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency with project management and event planning tools. Experience with Salesforce or similar Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus.
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications or related field. The Certified Event Designer (CED) or Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation is a plus.
