Its expertise in AAA and live operations, combined with a passion for naval battle gameplay and water technology, pushed the team to lead the development of a brand-new AAA game franchise – Skull and Bones™ which was launched in February 2024.

Job Description

Join the Ubisoft Singapore team as a Game Design Intern on Skull & Bones, where you’ll collaborate closely with our world design team to craft engaging activities, challenges, and systems across the game’s open world. You’ll learn how loot, economy, and content distribution are balanced to create compelling player experiences.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURE

  • Assist in designing and refining world activities and challenges, ensuring variety and engaging gameplay.
  • Work with designers to create systemic, multiplayer-friendly content.
  • Support content distribution across the world to maintain pacing and progression balance.
  • Provide feedback on gameplay flow, challenge levels, and player incentives.
  • Configure gameplay data for upcoming content, including loot tables, economy parameters, and activity rewards.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • Able to commit to a full-time 6-months internship starting in Jan 2026.
  • Interest in gameplay systems design, quest creation, or world content for multiplayer games.
  • Understanding of systemic design and content balancing.
  • Familiarity with data configuration or content implementation in a game engine.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to think creatively within constraints.
  • Passion for naval themes, open-world content, and player-driven activities.
  • Interest in gameplay system design.
  • Singaporeans and Singapore PRs only.
