Job Description

The Resident Engineer - E&M will be responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical and mechanical (E&M) works for metro projects. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in E&M systems, project execution, and stakeholder coordination. The candidate will ensure the successful delivery of E&M systems, adhering to quality, safety, and project timelines while meeting international standards.

Job Duties:

  1. Project Oversight
    • Lead and manage the execution of electrical and mechanical works for metro projects.
    • Ensure all E&M activities are carried out in compliance with project specifications, standards, and timelines.
  2. Design Review & Coordination
    • Review and approve E&M designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
    • Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of E&M systems.
  3. Installation, Testing & Commissioning
    • Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of E&M systems, including HVAC, power supply, lighting, fire detection, and other related systems.
    • Ensure proper functionality and integration of E&M systems with other project components.
  4. Quality Assurance
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Identify and address any deviations or non-conformities in E&M works.
  5. Safety Compliance
    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved in E&M activities.
    • Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  6. Stakeholder Management
    • Act as the primary point of contact for E&M-related matters with clients, contractors, and consultants.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
  7. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
    • Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports on E&M activities for senior management.
    • Identify potential delays and implement corrective measures to maintain project schedules.
  8. Team Leadership
    • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians involved in E&M works.
    • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical or related field).

Additional Information

  • Minimum 15 years of total professional experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in metro projects focused on E&M systems.
  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale E&M works, including installation, testing, and commissioning.
