Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Concierge to join our team at our luxury resort in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Concierge, you will be the primary point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring their stay on our beautiful tropical island is memorable and hassle-free.

  • Welcome guests and provide a warm, professional first impression of our resort
  • Offer comprehensive information about local attractions, activities, and dining options in Phu Quoc and the surrounding areas
  • Make reservations for restaurants, transportation, and various guest activities
  • Respond promptly to guest enquiries and requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of upcoming events and local happenings
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns with empathy and efficiency
  • Manage concierge desk operations, including maintaining a clean and organised workspace
  • Assist with luggage and other guest services as needed
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance service quality
  • Promote and upsell resort amenities and services when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and preferences

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; fluency in Vietnamese is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in a concierge or front desk role within a high volume luxury hotel or resort environment
  • Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Phu Quoc Island and its attractions
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in hotel management software
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to work, including willingness to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to interact with guests from diverse backgrounds
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for exceeding guest expectations
  • Well-groomed appearance and professional demeanour
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with luggage when required
