Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Concierge to join our team at our luxury resort in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Concierge, you will be the primary point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring their stay on our beautiful tropical island is memorable and hassle-free.
- Welcome guests and provide a warm, professional first impression of our resort
- Offer comprehensive information about local attractions, activities, and dining options in Phu Quoc and the surrounding areas
- Make reservations for restaurants, transportation, and various guest activities
- Respond promptly to guest enquiries and requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of upcoming events and local happenings
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Handle guest complaints and concerns with empathy and efficiency
- Manage concierge desk operations, including maintaining a clean and organised workspace
- Assist with luggage and other guest services as needed
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance service quality
- Promote and upsell resort amenities and services when appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and preferences
Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; fluency in Vietnamese is highly desirable
- Previous experience in a concierge or front desk role within a high volume luxury hotel or resort environment
- Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of Phu Quoc Island and its attractions
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in hotel management software
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Flexible approach to work, including willingness to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to interact with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for exceeding guest expectations
- Well-groomed appearance and professional demeanour
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with luggage when required
