SUMMARY:
The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the financial strength and creditworthiness of businesses and individuals. In this role, you will analyze credit data and financial statements to assess risk and determine the appropriateness of extending credit. The Analyst conducts thorough, comprehensive examinations of business performance and financial health, resulting in a deep understanding of each borrower’s capacity to responsibly use and repay credit. This includes full-spectrum underwriting—reviewing balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, debt service, collateral, industry conditions, and other key risk factors. The Analyst will deliver accurate, fact-based written analyses that clearly identify risks and mitigating factors associated with proposed transactions. This position provides recommendations to credit approvers to support sound decision-making and partners with Relationship Managers to help structure and negotiate loan terms. Additionally, the Analyst supports portfolio and relationship management by documenting appropriate credit risk ratings and contributing to the ongoing monitoring of credit quality.
Because collaboration and strong member relations are critical to our work, candidates who can work primarily from our headquarters and join Relationship Managers for in-person meetings with Members are strongly preferred.
