The Provider Services & Credentialing Coordinator provides executive level support for provider credentialing, physician scheduling, and coordination with external credentialing vendors. This role ensures timely processing of credentialing documents, supports provider workforce needs, and assists with basic legal or compliance-related tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with confidential information in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Requirements
Credentialing and Privileges Oversight
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the organization’s credentialing vendor.
- Monitor credentialing timelines, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure all provider files remain complete and up to date.
- Track initial credentialing and re-credentialing activities of all providers.
- Review provider applications for accuracy and compliance before submission.
- Maintain internal records, logs, and dashboards of all credentialing activities.
- Track and audit physician privileges across all sites
Physician Scheduling Support
- Assist with creating and updating physician schedules across all locations.
- Communicate schedule changes, shift coverage needs, and staffing adjustments to providers and leadership.
- Coordinate onboarding of new providers into scheduling systems.
Administrative & Legal/Compliance Support
- Provide administrative support on matters involving contracts, compliance, or operational policies.
- Assist in preparing, organizing, and updating provider agreements or other legal documents under guidance from HR or Legal.
- Support with physician payroll related record keeping.
- Support audits, record-keeping requirements, and regulatory documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to company policies and healthcare regulations.
- Help analyze and track organizational team performance.
Provisioning and Onboarding
- Complete onboarding configuration for all providers
- Coordinate with the credentialing team and broker on certificate of insurance (COIs).
General Administrative Duties
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence related to credentialing and scheduling on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain organized digital documentation for provider documentation.
- Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide customer service support to physicians and internal departments.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with scheduling systems (e.g., ShiftAdmin), credentialing software, and Microsoft Office products.
- Experience working with credentialing vendors or payer enrollment processes.
- Basic understanding of healthcare regulatory and legal terminology.
- Experience supporting medical staff services, HR, or provider operations.
Education and Experience:
- 2+ years of administrative experience in healthcare, credentialing, physician support, or a related field.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related discipline.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

- You are responsible for protecting the credentials provided to you to access Company (and customer, where applicable) networks, systems, and data.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all Ally and customer data to which you are granted access. Any suspected compromises of Ally proprietary data or customer data must be reported to Management immediately.
- You will adhere to the Company’s Information Security Policy and Procedures and support standard operating procedures to protect Company systems and data.
- You will alert management immediately with any expected system or data compromises and/or system failure impacting the security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity of Ally Medical and customer data.
- You will be required to attend an annual Information Security Awareness Training.
