Shift: 10pm-6am, Weekends required

PURPOSE

Under the direction of the Executive Steward the Steward Utility Cleaner will ensure the cleanliness of the food and beverage venues and maintain a clean and orderly kitchen, including deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and facilities.


SUPERVISORY SCOPE

  • None

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all kitchen equipment including cutting board, steam tables, deep fryers, boiler, ovens, steamers, stock pots, speed racks, and shelves, walk-in refrigerators and freezers, dishwashing machine, etc.
  • Removes trash/laundry bags and transports to/from laundry pick-up or dumpsters.
  • Cleans and washes garbage cans
  • Separates trash, recycle, cardboard, etc. in the kitchen areas
  • Cleans ceiling tiles, vents, light fixtures, upper walls, foliage, window glass and other items needing ladders over six (6) feet or use of a mechanical lift
  • Cleans all flooring including sweeping and mopping of wood, tile, and vinyl flooring (use of power equipment as needed.)
  • Removes, transports, cleans and returns mats
  • Cleans drains and walls
  • Takes apart and cleans stoves and surrounding areas
  • Cleans under and around equipment (pulls out equipment on wheels)
  • Cleans hoods/boilers including pulling filters and checking drip pans
  • Stocks and maintains proper inventory level
  • Assists in the storage and organization of shipment stock as needed
  • Responds to calls regarding trash, laundry, spills, etc. ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Responds to emergency calls quickly or refer to supervisor as needed
  • Performs minor maintenance checks and repairs on dishwashing machines
  • Communicate all issues and concerns to supervisor or kitchen management
  • Ensures all health regulations are maintained to prevent foodborne illnesses
  • Ensures compliance with and enforces HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and hygiene standards, including cleanliness and sanitation of work area; food areas clean and presentable; and temperature tracking
  • Complies with applicable governmental laws and regulations
  • Follows company and departmental policies and standard operating procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • One (1) year of relevant work experience in Stewarding or Environmental Services
  • Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, co-workers and management to ensure that Safety protocols are followed
  • Knowledge of general sanitary and safety standards and practices.

Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
