About the Role

Description

SHINE Technologies is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Systems & Manufacturing division who will be responsible for developing electrical systems, circuit boards, panels, power supplies, and cables, while coordinating with other engineering disciplines to optimize SHINE electrical designs. 


The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • New product design including electrical cabinets, panels, cabling and circuit boards
  • Create all required engineering documentation including but not limited to, schematics, power budgets, P&IDs, panel drawings, bills of material, and cables
  • Work within the electrical team on complex engineering problems
  • Provide support in system assembly, acceptance testing, and validation activities
  • Execute developmental tests as necessary to prove adequate design margin
  • Evaluate designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance goals and drive design changes through the engineering change process
  • Lead design reviews on assigned sub-systems
  • Coordinate with all engineering disciplines to optimize system design


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years design experience
  • Knowledge of UL, NEC, and NFPA standards
  • Experience with commonly used electrical computer-aided design software and electronic test equipment
  • Skilled in laboratory environment
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Good communication skills
  • Good technical documentation skills

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
