The Joint Test & Evaluation Program Office (JPO) provides independent evaluation and assessment of major defense acquisition programs. We ensure systems are effective, suitable, and survivable before fielding to the Warfighter. We are at the forefront of modernizing our test andvaluation processes through digital transformation, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance our analytical capabilities.

 
 

Job Summary:

· Conducting test planning in the DoD operational testing and evaluation environment.

· Executing models and simulations (M&S) to aid in developing and testing TTP through Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) networks as part of a Joint Live, Virtual, and Constructive (JLVC)environment.

· LVC architecture servicing the CCMD exercises.

· Operating or testing in an LVC environment and developing M&S services requirements to meet test event objectives.

· Observing and analyzing test and evaluation operations to ensure conformity with military doctrines, policies, and procedures.

· Providing consultation concerning M&S techniques for the design, development, and planning of M&S use and integration into JT&E projects.

· Conducting research and coordination and develops program test plans and detailed test plans.

· Identifying and evaluating commercial and Government-owned simulations to service joint project testing.

· Advising and assisting in developing the M&S verification, validation, and accreditation planning activities.

· Other duties as directed by the Project Manager

Qualifications

· Master's Degree in a technical field (systems, math, science, engineering, computer programming, or technical related field; if master’s degree in a non-technical field, 8 years of test and evaluation experience is required.

· Experience: at least 5 years’ experience in test and evaluation-related functions including test planning, data collection and analysis, and test control and execution; At least 6 years of military or government civilian experience:

  • Conducting test planning in the DoD operational testing and evaluation environment.
  • Working with the joint exercises process, the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC), and joint tests and evaluations.
  • Observing and analyzing test and evaluation operations to ensure conformity with military doctrine, policies, and procedures.
  • Developing test concept, test scenarios, test design, test products, and identifies candidate test venues and resource requirements for JT&E projects
  • Programing test plans and detailed test plans.
  • Developing, refining, and maintaining project schedules, to include allocation of resources and identification of project tasks and milestones.
  • Performing technical risk assessment, identifies test limitations, and assists in developing risk mitigation strategies for planning joint tests and evaluations"
