MCHC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to provide high-level administrative, analytical & operational support to both our Governing Board and our Compliance & Risk Management programs. 


The ideal candidate brings professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent communication skills, along with the ability to navigate sensitive information and complex regulatory requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Board Clerk Responsibilities

  • Organize, schedule, and coordinate all Board of Directors and committee meetings in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Prepare and distribute agendas, meeting packets, and supporting materials for Board and committee meetings in collaboration with the Director of Compliance & Risk, Board Chair, and CEO.
  • Attend meetings, record official proceedings, transcribe minutes, and maintain accurate historical records of Board documents.
  • Serve as the primary administrative liaison for the Board of Directors, leadership, and key committees.
  • Manage and maintain official corporate records, board policies, and documents in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Assist with board orientation, elections, and governance activities to ensure compliance with bylaws and FQHC requirements.

Compliance & Risk Management Responsibilities

  • Help respond to patient complaints, track and manage incidents, and support privacy breach reporting and follow-up.
  • Assist with clinic license renewals (CDPH, CLIA, DEA, Pharmacy, etc.).
  • Support compliance audit tracking, internal audits, and exclusion checks.
  • Track and process policy reviews, updates, and approvals.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or a minimum of 2+ years of experience in an administrative role within a professional environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working as a Board Clerk and/or providing executive-level administrative support to a governing board or senior leadership.
  • Experience working within a Compliance and Risk management program within healthcare.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, risk management, or related field
