About the Role

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Key Resposinilities & Deliverables :

1.Defect Management: Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for in-line and end-of-line defects.

2.Process /Product Audits: Conduct regular audits of assembly processes and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).Ex. Torque, EST, Poka Yoke, Master Checker , 1D audits

3.Team Leadership: Manage a team of quality engineers and inspectors; provide training and performance feedback.

4.Customer Interface: Act as the point of contact for customer quality concerns and warranty feedback related to TCF.

5.Data Analysis: Analyze quality metrics (FTBO, RPT, COPQ, RFI, NOVA C, FRC) and initiate improvement projects.

6.Compliance: Ensure alignment with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other relevant quality management systems.

7.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, logistics,PVT, SQA, BIW, PQA and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve product integrity.

8..Implement NFF initiatives improvements at TCF for delivering targets of Offline RPT, ONline RPT, ZDWS.

9.Partnership with all Stakeholders (SQA, Mfg., PVT, Design, SCM, PQA) to deliver better mfg. quality

10.Drive and meet targets for KPI & reduction in COPQ drive.

11.Mfg. Quality Improvement ( systemic closure of actions, Rework Management, Z & E Stage, SPC, Preventive Maintenance, Operator defects & manpower deployment, dexterity, HSPPD, FTR & change management, Zero tolerance drive for Torque issues, MCAR, Yard Management, Horizontal deployment & standardization)

Bachelors of Technology in Mechanical; Bachelor of Engineering

General Experience

5 to 8 years of experience in automotive quality assurance

Critical Experience

Expertise includes CMM operations , metrology , GD&T ,blueprint reading , applications of six-sigma tools . Understanding of BIW structures welding processes,and regulatory compliance standards such as IATF16949 and ISO 9001.Recognized for leading cross-functional quality teams to improve First Time Right Quality metrics and reduce warranty issues, ensuring customer delight from development to post-production.
