About the Role

Global-e is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a software development background to lead complex, cross-domain business projects. This role is designed for someone with strong engineering background who transitioned into project management and can combine technical depth with strong delivery skills. You will work closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and R&D leaders to orchestrate initiatives that span multiple domains, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical execution. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Business Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end delivery of cross-domain projects involving Product, Architecture, R&D, and Solution teams. 
  • Technical Insight: Use your development background to understand solutions in depth, anticipate dependencies, and support technical decision-making. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Architects, R&D, PS, DevOps, IT, and Security to align priorities and coordinate execution. 
  • Execution Frameworks: Build and manage project plans, quarterly planning processes, and delivery frameworks that ensure predictability and efficiency. 
  • Process Improvement: Define and implement governance models, reporting standards, and continuous improvement practices. 
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks across technical and business domains, implement mitigation strategies, and lead task forces when issues arise. 
  • Communication: Act as a bridge between executives, product stakeholders, and delivery teams, providing clear and transparent updates. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships across multiple integration points, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical solutions. 



Requirements

  • Software Development Background: 5 years of prior hands-on experience in software engineering, with the ability to understand code, architecture, and technical dependencies. 
  • Experience: 5+ years managing complex R&D or business-technology projects in SaaS/cloud environments. 
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of software engineering practices, solution architecture, and cross-domain dependencies. 
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven ability to lead large-scale projects using Agile methodologies. 
  • Tools: Proficiency with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) and other collaboration tools. 
  • Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex technical and business details into clear, actionable messages for diverse stakeholders. 
  • Mindset: High adaptability, strong ownership, and a “can-do” attitude in fast-paced environments.
