<div class="trix-content"> <div>The On-Call Lead Caregiver serves as a senior caregiver who supports and leads the caregiving team while remaining available to fill open or emergency shifts as needed. This role combines hands-on client care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring continuity of care, staff support, and high service standards at all times.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br></strong>Caregiver Coverage & On-Call Support</div><ul> <li>Remain on-call during assigned hours to cover call-offs, last-minute schedule changes, and emergency shifts</li> <li>Step in to provide direct care when coverage is needed, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required</li> <li>Ensure smooth shift transitions and continuity of care for clients</li> </ul><div>Leadership & Team Support</div><ul> <li>Serve as a lead point of contact for caregivers during shifts</li> <li>Provide guidance, direction, and support to caregivers in the field</li> <li>Model professional behavior, strong work ethic, and compassionate care</li> <li>Assist with onboarding, shadowing, and mentoring new caregivers</li> </ul><div>Client Care & Quality Assurance</div><ul> <li>Deliver high-quality personal care services in accordance with care plans</li> <li>Monitor care quality and report concerns or changes in client condition to management</li> <li>Address caregiver or client issues in real time and escalate when necessary</li> </ul><div>Communication & Documentation</div><ul> <li>Communicate clearly with scheduling staff, supervisors, and caregivers</li> <li>Document shift coverage, incidents, and client updates accurately and timely</li> <li>Maintain confidentiality and comply with all company policies and state regulations</li> </ul><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years experience as a professional caregiver (home care preferred)</li> <li>Reliable transportation and ability to travel between client locations</li> <li>Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills</li> <li>Flexible availability and willingness to work on short notice</li> <li>CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)</li> <li>Ability to pass background check and meet state licensing requirements</li> </ul><div><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></div><ul> <li>Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as required</li> <li>Ability to stand, walk, and perform caregiving duties for extended periods</li> </ul><div><strong>Schedule & Availability</strong></div><ul> <li>On-call status during assigned days/hours</li> <li>Must be available to cover shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays</li> </ul><div><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></div><ul> <li>Competitive hourly rate (higher than standard caregiver rate)</li> <li>On-call stipend or bonus (if applicable)</li> <li>Opportunities for advancement and leadership growth</li> </ul><div></div> </div>
