[What you will be working on]

You will be part of the Point-to-Point (P2P) Transport division overseeing the Taxi and Private Hire Car (PHC) sector. The P2P sector complements our Public Transport through the provision of a safe and reliable means of point-to-point service, and supports our car-lite vision by reducing the need for car ownership.

In the course of your work, you will provide regulatory oversight of the P2P sector through legislation, existing licences and codes of practice issued to taxi, PHC and car-pooling operators. You will be required to anticipate changes to the operating models of the P2P sector with the future entry of Autonomous Vehicles and Electric Vehicles, and update our regulations to ensure that they continue to meet our objectives. You will also assess any new applications for our taxi, PHC or car-pool licences. Beyond writing policy and position papers, ground situational awareness and stakeholder management skills will be key in succeeding in this role.

• Knowledge in any discipline.
