Ko tōu ake mahi - What you’ll do
The Polynesian Health Corridors programme supports health system strengthening across six Polynesian countries (Tonga, Tuvalu, Tokelau, Tonga, Niue, Samoa) and delivers on its objectives via three pillars (Non-communicable Diseases, Access to Essential Medicines, and Health Security). The programme is supported by a cross-pillar Programme Management team.
We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Senior Advisor, Programme Management to join our Programme Management team and support the delivery of key initiatives that support the Polynesian Health Corridors programme. This includes supporting and coordination of contracts and procurements for the programme and developing strategic and technical advice and processes to facilitate effective programme delivery. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful work that supports strengthening health systems and partnerships across the Pacific.
This role is fixed term to mid 2027 and has a midpoint of $106,849, appointing salary dependent on individual skills and experience.
Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you’ll bring
Practical experience of international development, and development projects, programmes and principles.
Experience in contracting and procurement, through managing large, complex projects and programmes
Excellent written and oral communication and cross-cultural communication skills.
Skilled at documenting and developing processes.
Knowledge of government procurement rules, and risk management.
Familiarity and experience with Polynesian countries’ health and development issues and the connections to Pasifika communities in NZ.
Qualification in a relevant field, or significant equivalent experience.
