You will lead a team of passionate engineers while developing core systems and features that power large-scale, real-time experiences for our game. You’ll work on complex technical challenges involving real-time interaction, large-scale systems, and a persistent shared world used by tens of millions of players.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Programming Expertise: Proficiency in Java is required. You should have experience building production-grade services using Java, with strong knowledge of performance tuning, and modern development best practices.</li> <li>Data &amp; Distributed System Technologies: Hands-on experience with Apache Spark is required. You should be comfortable developing and optimizing large-scale data processing pipelines.</li> <li>Experience with at least one major OLAP technology is required, such as:</li> <ul> <li>ClickHouse</li> <li>StarRocks</li> <li>MaxCompute</li> <li>Presto</li> </ul> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Bonus Points&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with columnar database internals is preferred</li> <li>Experience with the following technologies is a plus:</li> <ul> <li>Apache Beam</li> <li>Kubernetes</li> <li>Airflow</li> </ul> <li>Data Compliance: Familiarity with Chinese data compliance regulations is preferred, especially around data residency, data export restrictions, and industry-standard security practices.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work closely with the legal team to ensure all systems and processes meet regulatory and compliance requirements.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>At Scopely, we create games for everyone - and want to ensure that the people behind our games reflect that!&nbsp; &nbsp;We are committed to creating a diverse, supportive work environment where everyone is treated with respect.
