SECURITY OFFICER P/T FRIDAY-SUNDAY

POSITION SUMMARY: The Security Officer Lead is required to guard and monitor company grounds to protect and secure the company’s property, safeguarding and security of assets, team members, and visitors. In this role, you will also maintain a high visibility presence. The goal is to detect, deter, observe, and report.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, and monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points in all weather conditions.
• Secures all doors, windows, exits, and arms alarms depending on shift.
• Assists with development of continuous improvement procedures.
• Greets and directs visitors and maintains a visitor's log.
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.
• Reasonably intervenes in situations that threaten the safety and security of our team members, visitors, and property.
• Escorts discharged team members, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
• Controls the entrance and departure of team members, visitors, and vehicles according to protocols.
• Completes daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures including notification      to appropriate leadership.
• Provides CPR or first aid when needed.
• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE & OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· 7 plus years’ experience in security role.

· Must has security license or equivalent licensure and certification as recognized by county or state.

· Law enforcement experience.

· Certification in first aid, CPR, and self-defense.

· Helpful, courteous attitude.

· Decision-making skills in possible high-pressure situations.

· Must have a valid driver's license.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Attention to detail is a must.

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to occasionally sit, climb or balance; the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear.
