Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive HR Recruiter to manage our Florida Market hiring process and attract top talent in the Manatee and Sarasota County area. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Director of Human Resources and Florida hiring managers, use sourcing strategies to build talent pools, and help shape our employer brand in the market. The candidate filling this role is crucial in ensuring the hiring process is efficient, compliant, and candidate-friendly, while aligning with the company’s overall talent and growth strategy.


Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates the day-to-day functions for Recruitment in the Florida Market to include maintaining the applicant tracking system (ATS) and candidate records, recruitment advertising, represents the company at local job fairs, events, and with referral sources, interviewing and screening potential hires and handling the hiring process. 
  • Works closely with Florida Regional Leadership and Branch Management to proactively forecast staffing needs, understand team dynamics, and deliver high-quality talent aligned with branch growth goals.
  • Source candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, career sites, referrals and any other pertinent resources/platforms.
  • Screen resumes and conducts in-person, phone or video interviews to include scheduling and coordinating interviews with hiring teams, as necessary.
  • Communicate offers and manage negotiation processes.
  • Provide regular reports on hiring metrics to Director of Human Resources for reporting to Executive Team.
  • Works with Director of Human Resources on competitive market analysis specific to Southwest Florida to ensure bank competitiveness for top-tier candidates.
  • Write compelling job descriptions and post them across job boards, career sites and platforms.
  • Uphold compliance with labor laws, hiring policies, and diversity standards to ensure a bias-free hiring process.
  • Upholds customer satisfaction by supporting external and internal customers and answering questions/requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by following the Privacy Policy and keeping information confidential.
  • Complies with bank procedures and follows regulatory, operational and security guidelines.

Secondary Functions:

  • Stays current with industry knowledge and regulations by completing training sessions as scheduled.
  • Partners with Training & Development and Branch Leadership to support onboarding success and ensure strong early-stage employee retention
  • Becomes familiar and/or cross trains with different aspects of department Team member’s duties for support when out of office.
  • Develops and nurtures community partnerships, local referral pipelines, and professional networks to enhance Liberty’s visibility as an employer of choice.
  • Maintains frequent in-person presence across Florida branches to build strong relationships, understand staffing needs firsthand, and reinforce partnership with hiring managers.
  • Contributes to the team effort by performing other job-related duties as assigned.



Requirements

  • Possesses good knowledge of guiding principles and processes for most HR functions as evidenced by the ability to perform duties with limited guidance.
  • Makes sound decisions based upon analysis and judgement as evidenced by minimal errors on completed projects.
  • Meets all reporting requirements and deadlines, as set by individual states/regulations as evidenced by lack of late penalties/fees.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills both in person and on telephone as evidenced by minimal complaints received from internal departments and management observation.
  • Responds to requests and/or questions within a 24-hour turnaround.


Physical Requirements:

  • Talking—Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Hearing—Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Seeing—Ability to view a computer screen for an extended period of time and/or identify individuals visually.
  • Mobility—Ability to move from one place to another specifically in narrow/confined spaces to run copier or send faxes.
  • Finger dexterity—Ability to work with fingers for handling documents and use a keyboard.
  • Reaching—Ability to extend hand/arms in any direction to move/handle objects.
  • Lifting—Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Driving—Ability to travel to various/multiple locations or client sites. 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or any equivalent combination of Human Resources related education and experience required.
  • Minimum of 1-year Human Resource Recruitment experience with knowledge of labor/employment laws required, PHR certification and financial experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all individuals, provide superior customer service and work well with others is required.
  • Demonstrates a professional, well-groomed, business-like appearance/change priorities quickly and work effectively under time constraints required. 
  • Ability to use and/or learn industry related software specific to Liberty and the department and to utilize standard business-related software is required, Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Flexibility to participate in civic/community activities, work a flexible schedule and travel based on department need is required.
