The purpose of this role is to review and consider treatment requests including surgery requests and making evidence based decisions whilst providing an empathetic customer experience through a deep technical specialisation in complex claims.

This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week once fully trained.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve the optimum recovery post-surgery for workers with reasonable claim costs

  • Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders regularly to progress strategies and actions.

  • Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policy, in accordance with EML procedures if required.

  • Request and review medical information to ensure sound decision-making occurs around complex surgery requests

  • Communicate outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the complex nature of decisions is understood by all.

  • Strong customer service focus with a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences

  • High organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on practical, outcome driven solutions

  • Knowledge of medical terminology gained through relevant work experience or formal studies within tertiary allied health fields
