Bosch first started in Vietnam with a representative office in 1994. Bosch has its main office in Ho Chi Minh City, with branch offices in Hanoi and Da Nang, and a Powertrain Solutions plant in the Dong Nai province to manufacture push belt for continuously variable transmissions (CVT) in automobiles. In addition, Bosch operates a software and engineering solutions from product engineering, tool development & automation as well as testing & validation solutions (Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam).
In July 2014, Bosch set up a new Automotive R&D Center, located in Ho Chi Minh City. The continuous growth of this Centre is in line with Bosch’s strategy in Vietnam, which aims at becoming a manufacturing and R&D hub in the Southeast Asian region. Currently four products are available: connectors, push belt, fuel supply, and diagnosis module (tank leakage).

Job Description
- Autonomously planning and managing development projects in the field of electrical connectors for automotive applications.
- Platform projects: Development of a new technical solution not yet available in Bosch portfolio from SOD to the SOP of the pilot customers.
- Customer projects: Development of new variants of an existing platform, requested by customers.
- Responsibility: on Spec, on Time, on Budget, on Cost, on Profit.
- Interface to customers, sales, purchasing, product management, controlling. Cooperation with sales for project's commercial aspects and new acquisitions.
- Cooperation with technical project lead, testing engineer, production planner, process developer and quality engineer; coordination of simultaneous engineering teams (SE).
- Representation of the project in all relevant reporting committees up to product area management and higher.
- Requirement Management and Requirement Development: Consideration and implementation of internal and external requirements.
- Examination and implementation of internal and external requirements in specification sheets and documents.
- Coordination of cooperation with external and internal service providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or similar subjects
- Experience with project management in the automotive environment, combined with Engineering understanding
- Independent, well-structured, and goal-oriented way of working
- Good team management, drive team to common goals
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high resilience, willingness to take responsibility
- Ability and willingness to take risks (decisions with limited information)
- Very good communication and presentation skills
- Very good knowledge of English language in spoken and written form, knowledge of Japanese language is highly appreciated
- International/intercultural experience (through previous education or work)
