About the Role

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Staff Project Manager to lead complex multi-site semiconductor IC development projects from concept to mass production. You will own scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk, orchestrating cross‑functional deliverables, such as Design, Test, Validation, Quality and Operations. Your leadership skills ensure on-time execution and delivery readiness for the customer in compliance with the Renesas development process and the automotive and functional safety standards ISO 26262 and IATF 16949.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Leadership: Represent your project across the matrix organization and lead it from concept to mass production release, driving execution across all disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Project Planning: Drive comprehensive project planning with the team by ensuring committed and robust timelines, dependencies and critical path, and resource and cost planning.
  • Project Execution: Ensure effective project execution by driving task ownership, preventing scope creep, and managing deviations and risks effectively.
  • Escalate unresolved issues threatening project goals with clear problem statements and options, ensuring timely decisions.
  • Risk & Deviation Management: Proactively identify and manage risks and plan deviations, drive mitigations and corrective actions to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
  • Change Management: Manage project change requests, assess impact on scope/schedule/cost with the team, secure approvals by the stakeholders and communicate decisions.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Act as primary point of contact within the organization, ensure clear, consistent communication so all team members and stakeholders understand project goals, plans, risks, and decisions across disciplines.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in electrical engineering, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated Experience: 6+/10+ years in project management in semiconductor, industrial, or automotive product development with 3+/6+ years leading complex multi-site projects/programs; proven delivery across full IC development cycle.
  • Standards/Processes: Working knowledge in stage‑gate developments and configuration/change management. IATF 16949 and/or ISO 26262 are a plus.
  • Languages: Business‑fluent English; German is an advantage.
  • Certifications: IPMA Level C C/B or similar certification.
  • Tools: Advanced MS Project (or equivalent), JIRA (or similar), Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.
