About the Role

JOB SUMMARY:

We are a busy and dynamic law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services. To support our growing caseload, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Hearing Setter to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that our attorneys, clients, and courts remain aligned on scheduling and case progress. May be requested to assist paralegals with other legal items. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for law students or anyone eager to gain law firm experience with the goal of becoming a paralegal.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Schedule and confirm hearings with courts, opposing counsel, and clients
  • Maintain and update attorneys’ calendars to prevent conflicts and ensure deadlines are met
  • Communicate hearing details clearly to attorneys, staff, and clients
  • Enter hearing dates into case management systems and keep records accurate and up to date
  • Track upcoming hearings, send reminders, and follow up on rescheduling needs
  • Assist with preparation of files and documentation required for hearings


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This job does not require supervisory responsibilities


  

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Graduate with law office experience
  • College Graduate seeking a law office career



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
  • Mortgage Foreclosure experience is a plus

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
