About the Role

Description

  

· Construct tools and fixtures for production use where no design is available, but can follow tool design drawings, layouts, etc.

· Operate all conventional tool room equipment and hand tools (trak machines, milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, hacksaws, precision instruments - micrometers, gages, etc.)

· Assist and instruct apprentices.

· Support tool breakages 

· Assembling, fitting and repairing tools

· Monitoring the tools used on the manufacturing line to ensure efficient run rates and identify necessary repairs or possible improvements

· Assisting with tool maintenance

Requirements

  

· High School Diploma or GED.

· Reading, writing and mathematical level necessary to competently perform job duties.

· Requires full apprenticeship program 

· Knowledge of CAD software a plus.
