Contract: Full time, permanent
Hours: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Your new role

As Asbestos Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- To provide specific technical support and advice to the Council (Duty Holder) on asbestos.
- To manage asbestos such that the Duty Holder is complying with the Asbestos Regulations 2012
- To ensure delivery of a programme of annual surveys, to be agreed with the Council.
- To organise and manage asbestos removal/remedial works by licensed third parties.
- Provision of same in relation to services to schools as appropriate.
- To ensure formal governance, reporting, escalation and control systems are embedded on the contract and implemented throughout the wider team.
- Providing a corporate focus for Asbestos Management and providing / arranging for the necessary training for Duty Holders responsible personnel.
To join us, we’re looking for
- Thorough knowledge of Asbestos legislation and management of Asbestos
- Experience of managing contracts for asbestos removal work and can demonstrate a full knowledge of asbestos removal procedures through experience.
- Holder of asbestos training certificate P402, P405 or 406.
- Must be able to work unsupervised to a high quality.
- Good organisational skills and able to meet tight deadlines.
