Job Summary
Business Development Rep – Outside Sales (BDR) is responsible for driving revenue growth by
selling forklift maintenance and repair, loading dock equipment, high-speed doors, overhead
doors, and solutions designed to create a safer environment for industrial, commercial, and
institutional clients. This role is focused on territory-based business development, relationship
building, and consultative selling. The BDR will manage the full sales cycle from lead generation
and site visits to estimating, quoting, and closing, while coordinating with internal teams to deliver
turnkey solutions. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities in the material handling equipment and dock and door services industry
- Conduct site visits to evaluate customer needs and develop tailored material handling service solutions with safety at the forefront of all you sell
- Prepare and present detailed sales proposals, drawings, and equipment quotes
- Work closely with estimating, engineering, service, and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintain and grow relationships with key end-users, contractors, facility managers, and procurement teams
- Develop and manage a sales pipeline using CRM tools; track activities, forecasts, and performance metrics
- Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and construction project meetings as needed
- Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive activity
