Job Title: Project Manager – Transportation and Organizational Planning
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Management Professional with 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in transportation or transit planning, or business and organizational management. This role requires a strong track record of technical leadership, team supervision, and cross-functional project delivery. The ideal candidate brings both strategic insight and hands-on experience managing complex programs and guiding staff to achieve operational and planning objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and deliver transportation or organizational development projects
- Supervise and mentor professional and technical staff across multiple workstreams
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including internal departments, government agencies, and community partners
- Interpret and apply data, policies, and regulations to inform recommendations and ensure compliance
- Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership and public engagement
- Support development of program budgets, performance goals, and project timelines
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency or service delivery
- Manage consultant contracts and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Planning, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field
- 5 to 10 years of experience in transportation/transit planning or business/organizational management
- Experience supervising staff and managing multidisciplinary teams
- Strong skills in communication, organization, and problem-solving
- Familiarity with transportation planning tools, project management systems, or data analysis platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a related field
- Experience in the public sector or working with transit agencies
- Knowledge of federal, state, or regional transportation funding and regulatory frameworks
- Background in process improvement or change management
Salary Range: $55-110/hour (1099)
