From agile destroyers to mighty battleships, players can choose from a variety of classes and nations as they battle it out on the high seas.</p> <h3>Reports to</h3> <p>Platforms Team Lead</p> <h3>What will you do?</h3> <ul> <li> <p>You will create and maintain gameplay logic for a large-scale MMO using Python.</p> </li> <li> <p>Your work will power both client-side interactions and server-side rules for core gameplay features - including game modes, events, UI flows, and other scripted behaviors.</p> </li> </ul> <p>If you want to write code that directly shapes how the game plays and collaborate closely with designers, UI, and TechArt - this role is a great fit.</p> <h3>What are we looking for?</h3> <ul> <li> <p>3+ years of commercial experience;</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of Python (OOP, modules, typing);</p> </li> <li> <p>Understanding of game logic, state machines, scripting, event-driven programming;</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to read and extend existing complex codebases;</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong debugging skills, including profiling and identifying logic issues;</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms;</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (design, art, UI, QA, PM);</p> </li> <li> <p>Good spoken and written English (communication with international teammates).</p> </li> </ul> <h3>What additional skills will help you stand out?</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Experience with client/server-side scripting in games;</p> </li> <li> <p>Understanding of game engines - update loops, game ticks;</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience working with UX/UI state machines and logic flows;</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of platform-specific constraints (PC, consoles, mobiles);</p> </li> <li> <p>Basic familiarity with C++, C#, or other languages the engine uses for core logic;</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with unit tests;</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience in code optimization;</p> </li> <li> <p>Basic math knowledge relevant to games.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Work mode</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Hybrid (2-3 days of work from the office)</p> </li> <li> <p>This role is/isn't eligible for relocation &amp; immigration support.</p> </li> </ul> <h3>Benefits</h3> <p>Benefits and perks are tailored to the local market and culture.
