When you join our Spherea US team as an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will assemble and wire our client specific test systems. Armed with a variety of hand and power tools, you'll showcase your expertise in test systems and industrial control cabinet wiring and soldering capabilities. Your future tasks:

  • Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings for wire routing and panel layout.
  • Ensure assembled system mechanical elements meet all form, fit, & function design criteria.
  • Work with engineering staff to ensure products perform to design criteria.
  • Ability to provide feedback to the engineering team to improve design.
  • Maintain command of assigned components and organization of work area.
  • Ability to assemble PCBs and electrical enclosures.
  • Perform product quality assurance final inspection.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Proficient in using manual or automated crimping, hand and power tools for drilling, sanding, and assembly.

Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Experience with soldering.

Possess a high-level attention to detail.

Experience in test systems and industrial control cabinet wiring.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Effective communication skills

Basic computer skills

High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 + years relevant work experience


Preferred skills and experiences:

  • Associates degree or 5+ year experience in: Instrumentation, Controls Technology, or Electrical Technology.
  • Knowledgeable in basic electronics.
  • IPC / WHMA – A-620 Certification or other comparable certification.
  • IPC / A-610 Certification.
  • Ability to use a variety of test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment troubleshooting, and diagnostics on electrical circuits.
