JOB TITLE:    Tag Agency Clerk I

ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT:   Tag Agency

SUPERVISOR:  Tag Agency Manager

FLSA:  Non-Exempt 

PAY RANGE: $12.50 - $15.00


 
**ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.  ** 


  

JOB SUMMARY:  Clerk will assist Tag Agency with day-to-day operations as required. This position is an entry level position to learn all policies and procedures required for processing vehicle registrations.

**NOTE** CONFIDENTIALITY IS STRICTLY ENFORCED IN THIS DEPARTMENT.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Work in a detailed, organized manner.
  • Work as a team with staff members.
  • Assist tribal members with new and renewal registrations.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Assist tribal members by phone with information relating to registration.
  • Keep track of staff availability.
  • File documents accurately.
  • Process incoming/outgoing registration and correspondence.
  • Accurate data entry/proofreading for title and registrations.
  • Ability to follow directions in a timely manner.
  • Familiarity with computer keyboard, Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Be able to deal with difficult customers in an appropriate manner so as not to escalate the situation.
  • Be able to receive money and count return change to customers.
  • Be able to enter all data into Tag  database accurately daily

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform other duties and projects as required by Administration and Management.


PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous tag experience preferred.
  • Pleasant speaking voice
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous cashier experience

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION: 

  • High School diploma or GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Light duties to include but not limited to some lifting up to  twenty pounds (approx. 5% of job) and various other tasks
  • Ability to sit for prolonged period of time doing repetitive movements on the computer.
  • Some bending, stretching, and lifting.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Inside business office setting.
