We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations onsite at our South San Francisco facility.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the warehouse while maintaining a safe working environment. They will lead a team of warehouse staff, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks within our warehouse facility. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities.
What You'll Do
- Ensure occupational safety is a priority in the warehouse and reports any unsafe equipment or behavior.
- Provide coaching, mentorship direction and leadership to support the Warehouse team across two shifts.
- Support the Plant Director on efficiencies, labor, material management and warehouse organization.
- Ensure accurate labeling and storage of ingredient pallets and finished pallets in freezer and dry area of the warehouse.
- Verify warehouse team members are accurately transacting materials in our ERP system
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and monthly physical inventories, and implementing efficient inventory management practices
- Gather, record and report on warehouse accuracy and efficiency metrics, though manual or automated systems.
- Communicate to management when there are concerns within the warehouse and with warehouse team members.
- Ability to understand and communicate written policies, quality, sanitation and safety standards.
- Comply with HACCP-plan and food safety requirements.
- Review warehouse documentation daily to include: forklift inspection sheets, receiving logs, and daily GMP walks for completion and accuracy.
- Support warehouse team for fulfilling production ingredient orders and ensure orders are delivered complete and timely.
- Enter data daily into PO Update and inventory tracking system accurately
- Verify warehouse team members are accurately entering data into PO Update report and inventory tracking systems.
- Verify transfers are completed accurately and timely prior to dispatch.
- Verify customer orders are completed accurately and timely prior to dispatch.
- Provides forklift training for new team members and every 3 years for continued team members.
- Recognize others and suggests thoughtful ideas on how to build team morale.
- Addresses conflict quickly and resolve immediate issues or potential barriers so self/others can work together.
The Warehouse Manager must understand their involvement in Food Safety. They commit themselves to follow and adhere to GMP and Food Safety practices to comply with SQF and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Who You Are
- 7 Years Experience in Perishable Warehouse Operations (or related area)
- 3+ Years Experience in training and coaching Warehouse team members
- High School Diploma
- MUST be bilingual in English and Spanish
