Compensation: $17.50 per hour, plus tips!

Schedule: Variable hours, weekends, and holidays may be required

About the Role:
We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable Dog Bather to join our professional pet care team. This role is perfect for someone who loves animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a team that prioritizes safety, cleanliness, and exceptional service. You'll bathe, brush, and pamper dogs of all breeds and sizes, ensuring every pet has a positive grooming experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Bathe dogs according to breed standards and individual pet needs
Use proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety
Brush, dry, and prepare pets for grooming
Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of tools and bathing areas
Monitor pets for signs of stress or health concerns and report to management
Provide friendly, informative customer service
Support team members and assist with kennel or pet sitting tasks as needed

Requirements:

Experience in dog handling, bathing, or grooming preferred
Familiarity with animal restraint and grooming tools
Ability to lift dogs and equipment up to 45 pounds
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A strong work ethic and genuine love for animals
Previous veterinary, kennel, or pet sitting experience is a plus

Requirements

General: Customer/Guest service and retail experience, preferably in the pet industry. Knowledge of pet-related products. Willingness to learn all aspects of pet grooming.

Working Environment: This job operates in a retail environment with merchandise displays and inventory items available for purchase.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a variable-hour position; days and hours of work will vary. This position requires the flexibility to work within our regular store operating hours, including before and/or after hours and weekends. Overtime may be necessary at times.

Travel: Occasional travel to other stores, meetings, and events, at times before or after hours, is expected with this position.

Required Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED
